Akashic Lodge is a Philosophical and Research Lodge of the Ancient and Primitive Rite of Memphis-Misraim. By philosophical, we mean esoteric philosophy as taught in the Western Mystery Traditions, Illuminism, Alchemy, Rosicrucianism, Speculative Freemasonry and various Hermetic and Gnostic Schools. By research we mean actual research, both academic and scientific in scope. For example, historical research, original papers and presentations, peer reviewed documentation of experiments, etc. By Lodge we mean a fraternal organization, an interconnected node of men and women working together in unity.
We are part of an authentic tradition whose lineage includes Gnostic and Apostolic succession, the Rite of Memphis-Misraim and hot points (points chauds) empowerments, through the authentic lineage inherited from Michael Bertiaux, through T Allen Greenfield.
Akashic Lodge is an independent chartered body of the Rite Ancien et Primitif de Memphis-Misraim. It does not confer any status or privilege in any other organization, masonic or otherwise. Sir Cameron Leonard-Schroff Kt.Bt. 32°, 35°, 87° was issued the charter through Bishop T Allen Greenfield.

What is Memphis-Mizraim?
The Ancient and Primitive Rite of Memphis-Misraim is an esoteric Rite of Speculative Freemasonry with roots tracing back to the Mystery Schools of Egypt. Count Alessandro Cagliostro (aka “The Grand Cophta”) first introduced Egyptian Rite Masonry to Europe circa 1786. Cagliostro’s Egyptian Rite inspired the formation of other Masonic Rites of Egyptian orientation, most notably the Rite of Misraim (circa 1805) and the Rite of Memphis (circa 1838). These two later Rites united sometime around 1889, marking the formation of a distinct Rite known as the Ancient and Primitive Rite of Memphis-Misraim. Some notable members of the Memphis-Misraim Rite have been John Yarker, Theodore Reuss, Sir Aleister Crowley, Gerard Encausse (Papus), Jean Bricaud, Lucien Francois Jean Maine, Hector Francois Jean Maine, Constant Chevillon, Robert Ambelain, T Allen Greenfiled and Tau Michael Bertiaux.
Initiation into Akashic Lodge
Initiation into Akashic Lodge is split into a series of degrees which follow the 97 degree system of the Rite of Memphis-Mizraim, worked in the traditional 4 series.
The first series is the Symbolic Lodge, consisting of Craft degrees of 1st through to 3rd, these are Entered Apprentice, Fellow Craft and Master Mason.
The second series consists of the entire 33 degrees of Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, including Lodge of Perfection, i.e The Ineffable Degrees(which includes the Royal Arch degree), The Chapter of Rose Croix and The Council of Kadosh. These consist of degrees 4th through to 33rd and is known as the Philosophical Lodge.
The 3rd series consists of the degrees 34th through 75th and is known as the Hermetic or Esoteric Lodge .
The 4th series is magickal and consist of the 76th through to 90th degrees and is called the Temple Lodge.
The 1st series is given through working ritual initaition and is equal to the raditional Blue Lodge degrees.
The 2nd series can be worked ritually, or by conferal/ consecration, the 14th degree must be reached before 3rd series work can begin.
The 3rd series are mostly confered, unless one is being initiated into the 34th degree, the Order of Knight of Scandanavia. This series deals with the specific esoteric work being undertaken by the individual.
The 4th series are all confered through consecration but only after being put through the degree scrying system that Michael Bertiaux and T Allen Greenfield developed.
